Default Is SIGNS supposed to be DARK??

i just got signs and the picture seems to be dimmed and not bright at all? is this how the movie is, i put in another blu and was brighter, and my tv is at its peak of lighting

anyone?

i should have just gotten the normal dvd for 10 bucks, people say the quality is not much diff

It's not the kind of film that has a lot of wow-factor PQ-wise but I thought it was a very noticeable upgrade over the DVD (especially the audio).

Same here. Not to mention if your DVD player is lacking a buffer, Signs had one of the worst layer changes to date. And towards the end of the movie, it suffered from some of the worst compression artifacting I have ever seen. The Dolby EX track was nice though, but doesn't hold a candle to the PCM track.

Not really noticed even during the nighttime scenes in the cornfields or around the house. Nitpicking, I'd say maybe nighttime inside the house or in the basement but this movie didin't really come across as dark IMHO on my displays (I have two).

Great bang for buck BD title to tell the truth.
