I'm debating between this tv and the Panasonic TH50PZ800U. I've got 3 Samsung hdtvs and have been happy with all of them but I'm really considering my first plasma. I've looked at this Samsung at a store and it looked excellent.

I just bought the LN52A550 last monday and so far it is AMAZING, from the specs for the LN52A750, it would seem the 750 is even nicer than the 550 i have.

I installed one of these sets a couple of weeks ago. I was very surprised at how good this TV looked. We hooked up a Denon upconverting DVD player and I was amazed at how 3D and how good it looked. The black level was very good. The remote sucks, but other than that, I would highly recommend this TV.

I bought a 36" Samsung for my parents a few weeks ago. All I can tell you is the picture is great, and a work friend choose a Samsung over a Sony to save on some cash. Says there was virtually no difference in the picture between the two.

If Samsung is keeping pace with Sony, you can't go wrong with one.

Get the LN52A650, there is nothing different between the 650/750 besides the bezel looks different. Not worth 200-600 price difference.

I recommend the Series 7 750 model LN52A750. Two days ago I helped one of my best friends pick up one at Circuit City in Norman, OK. It was on sale for $2850 with a 2 years 0% interest deal. The image quality is among the best I've seen for LCD-TVs. I had to twist the arms of the sales clerks to connect a Blu-ray player to the demo unit so I could test out its BD performance. The product design is pretty slick (I like the touch sensitive buttons under the glass bezel). It has some nice product features too (4 HDMI 1.3a inputs, USB input and more).

My friend was originally wanting a Sony Bravia XBR4 series 52" LCD-TV, but the price on those things has spiked upward for some odd reason. Perhaps the dollar exchange rate? I paid $2999 for mine during Super Bowl week. Best Buy and Circuit City are wanting $3999 and $3599 for it respectively.

As far as I can tell, the 750 has 1gig of preloaded screensavers and stuff that isn't on the 650, but performance wise, they are the same (I think).

Anyway, I have the 650 and I think it rocks and I only wish it was black instead of the dark red (ick).

I don't understand asking other people's opinion of a TV, you are the one that has to watch it. Go look at it yourself and decide if you like it or not.

I just helped my dad get a HDTV about a month ago. I prefer rear projection myself(I have a sony 60a3000 myself), but he wanted flat panel. I took him to different stores(cc, bb, and sears) to look at different tv's. He chose a panasonic 50pz85 based on what HE liked not what I liked. I did some additional research on reliability for him but he chose what HE liked not me. Don't get me wrong, his plasma has a nice picture but I think my sony looks better to me. You need to choose on what YOU like.

i have a 550, the 650 is not that much better, the only thing it really has over the 550 is the 120hz... most people don't need that.

not at all

i just bought the 530 fro my brother

biggest differences between the 550 and 650/750 are the contrast ratios, the screen(wich is the glossy finish on the 650 and 750), and the 120Hz...if a big difference in price. the 120hz is a love or hate type of feature wich im buying on my 40 in today just because of the picture i see it displaying

Is 120hz really that big a deal for Plasmas? I was under the impression that people who own LCD's would be the only ones that would truly benefit from 120hz because of the Motion Blur issue.

plasmas dont need 120hz, that is why you dont see them with that option.

about samsung, i have the pn50a550, it has an amazing picture for the price, it got great reviews from cnet and other places, plus it is not a bad price at all.

check it out

We have 4 Samsung TVs in the house, purchased over 4 years time. Each one quite a bit better then the one before it. Never had a problem with any of them.
