Default Blu Ray Rack

Hello I was woundering if anyone could suggest a good Media storage Rack/Shelves that can hold at least 33 blu rays and upwards to 100. I would like to stay under 45 dollars if possible since i am on a budget right now.

Try Amazon.com and type in DVD racks and storage in the search line. Quite a few choices will come up

A lot of the DVD racks i have seen in stores do not fit the Blu ray's well. Also reading some of the comments on amazon it seems they have the same problem. Do you use shelving or racks?

i built my own.

went to lowe's, bought some 1x6s for the structure and a piece of thin plywood for the back. spent less than $20 and it took me less than an hour to build.

if i calculated correctly, it should hold over 300 blu-rays. of course i used a standard blu-ray case for my measurements. i didn't take into account special editions and box-sets.

not too bad, imo.

it needs to be painted, though (and cleaned, that bottom shelf gets dusty easy).

I used to buy the Atlantic Elf towers but they are no longer made, so I had to find an alternative as my collection grew. I just purchased 2 Atlantic 12-tier towers and have been happy with them so far. You can actually only get 11 tier's if you are using them solely for blu-rays. You can get 60 regular blu-rays on each shelf so a total of at least 660 blu-rays.

Also, these things are ridiculously easy and quick to assembly and the design is pretty ingenious IMO. No tools needed and not a single screw to tighten.

Does the fact they need mounted to wall affect there looks or usage in any way?

It just seams weird, it says to strap them....but then again I see why cause they will fall on your ass once loaded with discs

You do not NEED to strap them to the wall, the feet on the bottom are adjustable so you can adjust them so they lean back towards the wall. Unless you have a 150 lb St. Bernard that may knock it down it ain't going nowhere. I have placed these in my basement and have no desire to drill holes in the walls.
