Default choosing blu ray burner

hello,
i am new to blu ray.i use a dell xps710 and thinking of adding either a lg ggw-h20l or sony bwu-100a or bwu-200s burner.can anyone recommend which burner might be better and if they know any compatibility issues either of these may have with the dell(slot size fit, etc).i also just got sony vegas pro 8 and understand avchd content can be burned on a dvd-r,although the time/data amount/size is limited versus using a blank BR disc.so the whole point of getting a BR burner more than anything else is to burn on a BR blank disc? and the best way to make a duplicate copy is burn another at the same time.if not, then a BR duplicator must be bought? i just hope to make some hd discs to archive my hd tape content(sony fx1) and also sr1 content, plus to play in a sony s500 player hooked to my hdtv.my dell has windows xp.does the drive maker usually have instructions how to attach the internal BR drive?
hope someone may send advice
thanks john
