Paramount to release “Another 48 Hours” and “The General’s Daughter” July 7th 2021

I would buy Another 48Hrs only if Walter Hill was allowed to create his version of the movie as it was meant to be seen.

Since it was a succesful movie they should let him. Maybe they lost all the material.

Hopefully with a better HD master than shown on ITunes, amazon etc.

I don't really care about a directors cut of Another 48 Hours (though I would love to see it at some point), I just want the movie itself on Blu-ray. If this doesn't drop in the USA in July I will definitely be importing it.

It was regarded as a big disappointment at the time - it may have made twice as much as the first but it cost four times as much and left a lot of strained relationships and bruised egos in its wake and, along with Harlem Nights, was regarded as the beginning of Murphy's decline before he reinvented himself as Mr Family Entertainment. Like Lynch's Dune it's the kind of film no-one involved is likely to want to revisit.

It made three times it’s (50 mill) budget though, so still financially successful even though the original had about an 11 Mill budget and made about $80 mill. Two successful movies for Paramount!

So in my mind both of these movies need decent Blu-ray releases with bonus features. No excuse considering.
