Default Does a Wet Bar Area in HT negatively affect acoustics?

I am building a new home with a dedicated HT (22L x 14W) and was contemplating adding a wet Bar area, which will include cabinets, bar top, and sink, that is 6' wide and 4' deep, set INTO the wall (not taking up any of the 22 x 14 area). I was wondering how much impact that will have on the acoustics of the room? Will it be noticeable to my relatively untrained ear? Will their be an echo or something I should watch out for?

I also plan on having a closet space opened up near the front of the room to house my AV equipment, which I will enclose with a heavy curtain. I guess I could do the same thing to the wet bar, which would hide it from view when not in use?

thoughts/opinions?
