PS3 outside of the US. - Blu-ray Forum

I was thinking of purchasing a PS3 from a certain site that is not in the US. I was wandering if I would run into any problems as far as updates and accessing the ps3 store.

I was under the assumption everything would be the same besides the manual in Japanese.

Oh and the BD playback and what not.

Any information at all would be greatly appreciated.

I have a Japanese PS3 and i have no problems other than not being able to view DVD's due to region restrictions. I don't really care though cuz i have my 1080i upconvert DVD player. I have no problems with PS Store or updates or online game play.

You may have to change the language to english in the settings though.
