Post What do you think about the BD Month of July?

So I was looking at the pre-order release calender and I was surprised to see July be so bleak.

I think it may be the first month without a new Blu-ray release for me

The rest of this year is pretty bare for me also until the holiday season, good break for my wallet. That said just because we don't like most of the movies coming out, doesn't mean other people aren't excited.

I'm planning on buying:

The Getaway 2-pack
Tin Man
G.I. Joe: The Movie (1987)
Fanboys
Clash of the Titans

So, yeah... it's a pretty slow month.

From July I will be getting the following:

- A Single Man
- The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo
- Practical Magic / The Witches of Eastwick
- The Last Boy Scout / Last Man Standing
- Insomnia
- In Bruges
- Vexille
- Cop Out
- Clash of the Titans

So I guess that would be 9 BDs so far

Only thing i have pre-ordered for July so far is the Green Zone SteelBook.

Am hoping and guessing Kick-Ass may come out in July though, in the UK anyway. Which would be another pre-order for me.

I am hoping that more horror movies will be announced soon for this year. It seems to be a low year for horror on Blu.

Ip Man
Clash of the Titans

There's probably a few titles for July that haven't been announced yet.

So far, I'm getting:

Brooklyn's Finest
Jason and the Argonauts
The Last Boy Scout / Last Man Standing
Ladybugs
Dr. Giggles / Otis
Rambo: Extended
The Prowler
G.I. Joe
Lock Up
Clash Of The Titans

If "Kick-Ass" comes out in July, it would be the only new Blu-ray purchase for me.

Really? I mean, do we really need another thread like this? FYI, two of the greatest movies ever made are coming out on blu: Buster Keaton's 1928 Steamboat Bill, Jr. and Powell & Pressburger's 1947 Black Narcissus. Try expanding your film knowledge a little bit before making comments like that...there were movies before the 2000s, ya know.

The horror genre as a whole doesn't have a lot of movies and a lot of those are already on blu-ray.
