Question Insignia TVs

I just bought an Insignia 26" HDTV. After I bought it, I was looking on the internet and some people were talking on forums about their Insignia's breaking after just a short period of time. Is this what happens with most Insignia TVs or are those people just the unlucky ones that get the bad TVs. How long will the Insignia's usually last before at least a dead pixel. I'm not expecting to have it for more than 5 years. Will it at least last that long without anything wrong?

Default INsignia Iffy at best

I had my Insignia for about 2 weeks before all black images turned pure white and all white imagery was pure green. Took it back and bought an actual LG TV and have been happier with the LG ever since (about 1-1/2 yrs ago.)

Insignia tvs are very inexpensive. So you kinda get what you pay for. There are some LG boards inside if the tv. But LG parts are in everything. I fixed my HP plasma tv and every board inside my HP plasma was an LG.
When i was working for the tv repair place insignias were almost impossible to get parts and service for them. I hope you purchased an extended warranty.
Im not trying to say you bought a bad tv just that you bought an inexpensive one.

LG outsources them from a generic company in China.

I'd avoid it.

As for LG themselves, if you prefer your blacks on the greyish side and fleshtones to the greenish/orange-ish (to where it looks like everyone has sunburn) then that would be a good TV to get.

Otherwise, stick with Samsung or Sony.
