I've read and re-read many of the posts on this forum. Many of the threads are very helpful. However, as soon as I think I have a hold on something, I'll read something else that seems to contradict it and I'm getting very confused. If I could just ask a few questions and get some simple answers, I would really appreciate it. Here goes...
I have a Sony BDP-S301 and an older Kenwood receiver with no HDMI connection (it doesn't decode DTS either.) 1. Is it possible for me to get Dolby True HD or DTS-MA? 2. I currently have a coaxial cable. Do I need multichannel analog? 3. Should the setting on my player be Linear PCM or bitstream? 4. Even if I can't get Dobly True HD or DTS-MA, will it at least be output as a 5.1 signal? Currently any blu-ray discs I have that are DTS-MA, no sound is output from the rear speakers at all. I thank anyone who has the time to respond to these questions. I greatly appreciate it. |
