Default Surround Speakers w/ Lossless Audio

Hi all, I have an Onkyo 605 with a PS3, Polk CS2 (center) and Polk M50 (front) speaker setup. My question is do the 2 surround speakers really need to be that expensive? I currently have 2 cheap surrounds ($20 each) hooked up that seem to work ok, but I don't know if I could be getting better surround sound if I bought higher end surrounds. Any help would be appreciated.

If you belive they sound good and are happy I would leave them.

Equip.
DENON AVR 4308ci
Denon DVD 3930ci
Pioneer Elite BPP 95
Def Tech BP 7002's, CLR 2500, UIW BPZ/A (2), UIW 94/A (2)
Richard Grays s600 Power Conditioner
Monster Cable HTS 5100 MK2

I had a pair of Older Polk Audio Surrounds that I replaced with the new Def Tech's I honestly don't know if I can tell a difference. The only diff. I believe is that the Def Tech's may have a little more low end on certain scenes in certain movies.

don't "over-spend" on your rear surrounds...... their job isn't that difficult (basically the signals being sent to them aren't that demanding...... and small-tight-woofer/tweeter is a good choice for rear surrounds)

just my $0.02

edit: this is coming from someone who over-spent on rear surrounds

Thank you! That is very helpful information. I'm going to keep my $20 surround speakers as they are. Nice! Maybe i'll use the saved money for an HD camcorder!
