Default Which one is worth getting?

Is there any difference within the selection of blu-ray players (current and soon to be released)?

If there is a difference, which one is the best and will give me the highest of quality?

Its a question of balance, What can your TV do...
What can your receiver do...
How much is too much.... You will not get the benefit of a $2000.00 Blu player on a 500.00 receiver and a 1200.00 TV
What do you have now for a system? Answer that and a lot of good suggestions will come your way.

Well, price isn't a problem.
As for my television, I have a Vizio 50" Plasma HDTV with Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround Sound
JV50P "Jive" HDTV, high definition multimedia interface, wifi technology.
I'm not sure I use a reciever, it plugs straight into the TV.

Here's the overview from the TV's website:

With what you've got, you're not going to be able to utilize any of the high def surround formats. I don't think you're going to notice a big difference, if any, from a higher end player. A PS3, BD30, or the like would be fine.
