Best I have seen so far is probably Dagon
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0264508/ which is only bested by In the Mouth of Madness (huge referentials to HP Lovecraft, but not a direct adaptation) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0113409/ But GdT's Mountain of Madness would have been epic. I hope he gets around to do this someday. |

It's a shame that HP Lovecraft has never been properly represented on screen (aiside from "The Re-Animator," "From Beyond," and "In the Mouth of Madness," but there's never been a grade-A Hollywood title). Any of his work in mainstream cinema would be epic.
