Default Anybody have or heard Klipsch RF-35's?

I'm looking into them and wondered how they were? I couldn't believe they have dual 8 inch woofers! Not sure if I should go with them or a newer series like the 52, 62, or 82.

I have them!

they are essentially the 82s but a bit different voicing... pretty much sound the same though from my comparisons (my 35s at home and the 82s at work) but one thing you will probably like to know.... when listening to music, unless you're a huge fan of bass, you won't need your subwoofer on.... the 35s put out a lot of bass!

by the way... if you haven't heard them, i would check them out for yourself... I am very, very pleased with mine and have not stopped buying/renting movies since i got the system... I don't play PS3 right now cuz I watch movies in my spare time to soak in what my speakers are really capable of

Just what I wanted to hear. I had a Klipsch dealer tell me to NOT buy the RF-35's as the newer lines were alot better, with better horns and frequency. He wants me to get the RF-63's or RF-82's. I have narrowed it down to the RF-35's or RF-82's. Since the 35's are good chunk of change cheaper I was hoping they would be great. Is the RC-35 center sounding great as well? To give you alittle background I am using a ONKYO HTIB setup that I have had for the past 4 years. It is a 6.1 setup. I tried the Klipsch Icon series a few months back and liked the Xf-48 fronts but didn't think the price I would pay, close to $4,000 for 7 speakers was anywhere near worth it and I knew I could do better. I recently tried the RVX-54's and 42's and thought they downright sucked. Surely the RF-35's would blow me away compared to these right?

i have no experience with the RVX's so i can't really speak on them at all, but the wood cabinets on the RF speakers is a big plus in my opinion, also haven't got a chance to hear the icons yet but I'm told they're more of a form factor speaker... they apparently do not sound as good as equivalent reference series speakers.

I just want to clear one thing up... that Klipsch dealer was a damn liar.

Frequency Response on the 35s: 37Hz-20kHz +/-3dB
Frequency Response on the 82s: 33Hz-23kHz +/-3dB

difference: The 82s go very slightly lower, and have a higher top end, which is beyond what most people can hear anyways

High frequency crossover on 35s: 2600Hz
High frequency crossover on 82s: 2000Hz

difference: the 35s crossover at a higher frequency... the difference is so minimal you would need a side-by-side comparison to hear it

Horn on the 35s: 6" square 90°x60° Tractrix® Horn
Horn on the 82s: 6" square 90°x60° Tractrix® Horn

Difference: none. they both use the same 90x60 horn (meaning that it throws the sound 90° on the X axis by 60° on the Y axis

Overall difference: well... the 82s are an inch or two taller, 1/4 of an inch wider, and less than 2 inches deeper... are voiced slightly differently, are about 12 pounds heaver (not a huge weight difference considering the 35s are about 55 pounds) and are a lot more expensive

EDIT: forgot to add, yes the RC-35 is great too... i brought it and the surrounds and sub home one day and went back to pick up the RF-35s the next.... in my excitement I hooked up the center alone just to hear it and i was impressed.... paired with the towers there is a nice seamless pan between speakers.
