Problem with downloading rock band songs

Is there any way you can download the song files on a computer and put them on a usb drive and then transfer them onto the PS3??

Because the downloads probably going 1% every 10 mins..and most of the time doesn't even work.

Nope. Downloadable content aside from updates and music/video clips must be downloaded directly to your PS3, as there's no way to migrate the content into the Games category of the XMB.

If you're getting 1% every 10 minutes, there's something seriously wrong with your connection.

Would the fact that it's inside a cabinet be contributing to that?? Does it need to be out in the open?

You're going to need to let the PS3 breathe and socialize with all those little radio waves floating in the air. You'll definitely benefit from putting the PS3 out in the open, plus it looks damn cool next to any other piece of home theater equipment.
