Default My favorite 50 movies... or... 50 movies I want on Blu-ray, plz~~

Hard list to make, so many movies that had to get bumped, could easily make a top 100. I am putting a "/" after the ones already on blu-ray, the others I really hope come out soon.

2. Star Wars: Episode 4
3. Star Trek 2
4. The Matrix
5. Night of the Living Dead
6. Planet of the Apes
7. Star Wars: Episode 6
8. Indiana Jones: The Last Crusade
9. Star Wars: Episode 5
10. Dawn of the Dead(Original) /
11. Back to the Future
12. Batman
13. Indian Jones: Raiders of the Lost Ark
14. Evil Dead 2 /
15. The Fox and the Hound
16. Boyz in the Hood
17. Full Metal Jacket /
18. Blade Runner /
19. Die Hard /
20. Spiderman 2 /
21. WALL-E
22. The Departed /
23. Saving Private Ryan
24. Serenity
25. American History X
26. Terminator /
27. Groundhog's Day
28. The Lion King
29. Goodfellas /
30. Army of Darkness
31. The Shawshank Redemption
32. Glory
33. Close Encounters of the Third Kind /
34. Pulp Fiction
35. The Prestige /
36. Aladdin
37. No Country for Old Men /

40. Back to the Future 2
41. Beauty and the Beast
42. Ratatouille /
43. Ghost in the Shell

45. Star Wars: Episode 3
46. Dead Presidents

50. South Park: Bigger Longer and Uncut

Not the most obscure tastes, but I feel like the rest of it will mostly come out on blu eventually.

I personally would like it if FuNiMation would release a Ultimate Dragonball collection. But most of the stuff on your list is good too.

You mean you have $300 to drop on some DB/Z/GT Blu-Rays? I mean, having the whole saga at all would be great to me, but $300?

All of Dragonball would cost a lot more than $300.

Probably more like $2000.

back to the future 2, It wasn't as good as the first but it was still freaking great. The combination of the two together are terrific.
Star Wars 3, Never reached original star wars good, but in its own right an amazing movie... especially the ending.
South Park, personal preference I guess, but it's one of the very few comedy movies that actually makes me laugh, also has a fun storyline which is surprisingly deep for what you'd expect.
Half Baked, alright... I smoke pot sometimes... but it's hilarious.
Boyz in tha hood, no idea what your problem with this movie is, maybe you've never seen it? It's really incredible.

As for the old classics... I have a few older movies.. like the Wizard of Oz. But... I find that a lot of older black&white movies lean too much into romantic territory. Also there needs to be a combination of being entertaining and good plot. To Kill a Mockingbird also almost made the list.

How do you mean? You should further explore older American films, as well as foreign films, because I think you'd be pleasantly surprised.

To Kill a Mockingbird is better than a many of the ones you listed. As far as a lot lean toward romance is ridiculous. That is like saying the same thing for color movies. Alfred Hitchcock is far from romance. The Birds, Rear Window, North by North West fantastic movies.

I am curious what some of your favorite movies are? Just because some of the movies that he listed are targeted for families, general audience, or teens that doesn't mean they are bad. Wall-E is one of my favorite movies and the best movie I have seen this year. It was animation, but the story, the direction, and the movie looks amazing and I am 33. I also love The Princess Bride, Batman Begins, Slap Shot, Michael Collins, The Wizard of OZ, and the original Flight of the Phoenix. I am 33 and as long as the movie is good, I will enjoy the film.
