Default Terminator 2

Has anyone seen this yet on BR? I just saw it at the store the other day, didn't realize it had been transferred.

Not the best BD out there, but it's quite cheap (I got it for 10 bucks) and the movie is a classic of the Sci-Fi genre.

I'd imagine a re-release isn't too far away. This movie seems to get re-done every two years.

This was crappy bd... I can only imagine we will get the ultimate edition with lossless audio on a bd 50 disc by the time that Terminator Salvation comes out in May 2009.

Its ok, it was an early release. Goes for what like $13 at most places. Personally, I'd wait for the inevitable re-release, most likely when T4 hits theaters/BD,

I'm sure I'll get flamed for this, but the HD DVD was better than the blu-ray.

I only say that as an example of a reason to wait for a blu-ray remaster, since it proves that it can look better than it currently does on blu.

I wanna wait for the Special Longer Edition to come out on Blu (The version from the 1993 Laserdisc release AND the extreme DVD) I like that version better as It gives a little more to the story.

You're right.
And I expect we will see a re-release when Terminator 4 hits next year.

Anyone know how this T2 BD re-release compares to the previous BD release? I've seen a few posts and it seems that people aren't thrilled by the picture quality of the existing release.

I have the standard def dvd of it but may go Blu soon.

I have the ultimate edition box set that came out a while back on DVD and it still considered the best version. They need to remake that on Blu ray with a better PQ.
