Need some help here - Blu-ray Forum

I have the pioneer elite vsx-92txh and the 1st gen bd-p1000 sansung bluray player. I have it hook up for 7.1 speaker settings , but even with movies that are made for the 7.1 the front on that reciever always shows 5 speaker setup, My bluray player is set on bitstream , and i am running a hdmi cable , is there someother setup that iam missing?

your player is only HDMI 5.1 output capable.

...time to upgrade player.
