is that converted? like, 2 hours 25 mins?
POTC: AWE is 2 Hours 49 minutes. Wyatt Earp is 3 hours 10 mins. Lonesome Dove would be 6 if on blu :P Band of brothers is a series, but its coming to blu soon :P Last edited by Wreck; 02-10-2008 at 05:22 PM. |

POTC: AWE - Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's end.
And I imagine the point of this post is to figure out how much can comfortably fit on a Blu disc to see if EE of LOTR can fit on one disc - just a wild guess though I'll throw in that Lost: S3 has 5 eps per disc at about 45 minutes each so 225 minutes (3hrs 45 minutes) of gorgeous video and uncompressed PCM as well. I'm not postive on the exact space savings, but I think if they bumped uncompressed PCM for True HD or DTSHD-MA they could maybe get another half hour or more onto a disc. Does anyone know the space for uncompressed vs the HD codecs? Last edited by bajor27; 02-11-2008 at 06:18 PM. |

I honestly think they look good. Gettysburg doesn't look that great due to an older master being used, but I didn't see any compression artifacts. Gods and Generals looks better because it stems from a more recent master and of course it's a more recent film anyway.

The television version of Fanny and Alexander runs 322 minutes. The movie flies by at a quick pace, though, and there's not a wasted second. I've watched the entire movie in one sitting a couple of times.
The picture quality of the 322-minute version is outstanding. ![]() |
