Thumbs up Thank you Paramount and Universal.

I just want to take a minute to thank Universal Studios for treating their Blu-Ray releases with class. DTS-MA audio on all of their Blu-Ray releases is an amazing step in the right direction. Not only that, but they have terrific video encodes too. No DNR. WOW! They certainly know what their target consumers want. Thank you, Universal.

And what about Paramount? Releasing an all-new AVC version of Transformers with a high bitrate video encode specifically for the Blu-Ray release. I love it! Not to mention the Dolby True-HD audio. Even Top Gun will have a DTS-MA audio track on Blu-Ray. Not bad at all.

Of course, Disney, SONY and Fox have been doing it right all along with superb video and audio codecs. Definite gems in the Blu world. Heck, even the smaller studios like Lions Gate, Anchor Bay, and Image Entertainment do a great job with their Blu-Ray releases.

It really is a shame that not all of the major Hollywood studios have their act together. At least we have the majority doing it right.

Thanks!

** Edit: Added Fox to the list of great Blu-Ray studios **
