Amazon in the PS3's Future? - Blu-ray Forum

I was just writing an article in the stock world and I noticed that Amazon's new limited beta for their Video on Demand service (streams 40,000+ movies and programs to TV) is open just for Sony Bravia members.

Seeing "Sony" there, I started to wonder. If Sony wanted to equalize the Netflix thing, this might be one way and they are already working together.

Of course the new VoD service works a little differently, but that's still a nice library of stuff.

Amazon on the PS3 (exclusive) would be an interesting selling point.

Anyway, just throwing this out there.

That would be a nice idea. Perhaps they could even offer a buying incentive for a Blu Ray version should you decide to buy the movie later. Maybe offer a discount on the final price on the Blu Ray minus the rental fee?

Might be cool to have some VoD via Amazon. Would be nice to get some Universal titles in there.

I have been hoping for awhile that Sony would announce a Sony store. You know turn on your PS3 and buy a couple of Blu-ray games or movies right from Sony. Maybe they will do something similar in Home.

As of last Tuesday you can do just that.

I meant buy Blu-ray movies, games and other accessories for the PS3.
