Default Chicago: freeze issues?

I have not yet had any issues with any discs but last night watching Chicago for the 1st time on my PS3 it froze for 10 seconds or so at maybe 4 points throughout the movie, yet rewinding and playing through the lock up points worked fine making me think it was not a disc issue.

Yes check if you have 1.51 version because 1.50 version have a bug built in concerning playback of BD movies.

Yes I'm aware of the 1.50 issues, and I have 1.51. I've never had any playback issues with ANY firmware version until now.

Chicago is still freezing for me. I watched it the other day and it froze a few times. However, I also watched it again a little later and it didn't freeze (though I did pause several times for awhile). This is with 1.51.

My brother has had some freeze issues with movie playback. he turns his internet connection off when watching movies he says that it works hasn't had the problem since. There is one spot on the xbar menu under settings has "internet connection" enable or disable. He just selects "disable" before he watches blu-ray movies.

Very interesting. The network stuff does not currently appear to be asynchronous in any way, so this would make sense.
