Hey guys!

I'm not a serious gamer, but out of curiosity, I Googled around for PS3 launch information, and stumbled upon this website - PS3Seeker.com

It's really handy! Just enter your ZIP code and a Google map will pop up to show midnight release sites, retail locations, and auction listings for the PS3. From what I can see on the site, updates are very frequent (like for Amazon's listing status, etc.), so the info is accurate. The news on the front page is informative, too.

Good lord, I sound like a plant... Anyhoo, just thought I'd let the forum folks here know, in case they were interested.

Decent website, but it left off at least 10-15 stores in my area that are getting PS3. It was cool to browse around and look at the stores in my area.

ebgames has bundles that I would pass on because of the price. No luck finding a ps3 yet.

They are out there,...I have got 3 from Circuit City and 2 from Frys.

The Frys packages are high about $1200 for a 60 w 5 games and a controller.

I was at the Futureshop here and the guy told me they had just gotten their 4th batch of PS3's in today, he said they had 10 and they'd go fast again.

The Sony store here in San Francisco got a HUGE batch of PS3's in today. I was out finishing up some last minute shopping and noticed a few people lining up behind a velvet rope inside the store. I walked in and asked what was going on, and they said they were the first (five) people in line waiting to buy PS3 systems -- which had just arrived. I queued up behind them and bought a 60GB model, plus an additional wireless controller, an HDMI cable and four games (Resistance: Fall of Man, Need for Speed Carbon, Marvel Ultimate Alliance, and Genji: Days of the Blade).

I was surprised at the serendipity of the whole thing. I've seen these things being pimped on eBay for twice as much as I paid. Regardless, I was able to get one so very casually without much of a wait, and no fuss. Sony must really be cranking these things out now to meet demand.

Although I already own a BDP-S1, I'm going to try out the player in the PS3 too... just to see how they compare.
