Usually with the new tvs you shouldnt have a problem, especailly with pioneers but you can never be to safe. And get it calibrated, the sooner you do that in my opinon the better. Remember your TV out of the box may be to bright or sharp, simply cuz that how they come sometimes outta of the box. Plus getting it calibrated sooner will get you used to the image, rather then getting it done later on when your used to anther image

Be careful for the first 100 hours or so, then you'll be good to go.

Wait until after its burned in before calibrating it. The last thing you want to do is pay a couple of hundered bucks for calibration, only to have the settings need changing once the TV's burned in.

PS Congrats on your purchase; the 6020 is high on my list!

you can do a disc calibration soon if you would like, but you should always give it some time to break it in a while before making professional adjustment.

from the reviews I have read on the Pioneer Plasmas, they are set pretty close to perfect right out of the box, but an ISF calibration will still maximize performance.
