Default Broke my TV!!

So I was cleaning my room and moving things around and my tv fell and died. I had extended warranty from best buy but it doesnt cover the damage. I tried sharp and they gave me a # to a local repair shop but i havent been able to get in contact with them. Anyway Anyone know if I can pick up atleast 300 or 400 bucks for it and they can use it for parts?

Oh that sucks man. Once I sat my portable DVD player on the floor near me and moved my chair, setting the leg down on it an ended up sitting down. The screen cracked just like that. This was back when portable DVD players were like $700-$1000!

That's all it took to cause such a massive amount of damage to the TV?

You can try Ebay or craigslist might give a sense of the market out there. Also, although you did not mention replacing it, remember that it might make sense to check your homeowners/renters insurance policy. I don't know what your deductible is or if it would make sense but thought I would suggest it. The question is if it will impact your rate in the future and if it is worth it. Sorry for your loss.

Do you have renter's insurance or personal property insurance? I have renter's, and I know if I did that, my insurance would cover it. Call your insurance company and find out. I specifically asked this question when I got my insurance.

I feel bad for you but I appreciate the picture for posterity.
I always wanted to see that for some reason.

I always worried about my tv till I got bigger heavier speakers .
I don't like people near my speakers either, not even myself;
One day I ran to catch the phone and ended up kicking in a grill .
I just missed the lowest driver and fortunately I got a spare grill for free.
Man, was I pissed at myself though.

Life's a ***** and she's back in heat... That sucks about your tv. I'd go for the renters insurance suggestion....

Jesus, seeing that is like getting a hard shot in the nuts. That's horrendous. I'd be interested to know how much they'd charge to repair it.

That looks like some type of art. Any art dealers here want to pick it up for a few hundred and make millions?

that sucks...Someone I used to work with smashed his (he said he had 50" Sony SXRD but I never got to see it) accidentally with his Wiimote or whatever it is called. He was so mad he went into a rage, broke some dishes and hit his door and was hoarse from screaming so much the next day. Me being a smart ass I told him that he should have smashed his Wii while he was breaking everything else. Needless to say he was not amused.

Any way to make a long story short, he ended up getting a larger tv that he says he liked better. So in a way it worked out, although he did have to eat the costs of his sony, and his dishes, etc., etc.
