Unhappy Sad movies

Well this thread is for sad movies (on BD or not). Don't give away spoilers, just recommend movies.

Gladiator: One of the best movies I have ever seen and also one of the saddest. The ending always gets to me.

Big Fish: Great movie, overall its pretty happy, but another ending that tends to get to ya.

Bridge To Terabithia: As someone who never read the book, this movie was a complete surprise. Hugely sad moments for a "kids" movie, it tackles some very grown up themes. One of the best BD to date and one of my favorites. I would definitely recommend it to anyone. Prepare for some truly sad moments though that will stick with you.

Alright now you guys have to recommend some movies, I'm going to go cry j/k

Papillon is without a doubt the saddest movie I have ever seen, and believe me I've seen a few thousand movies in my life.

Steve McQueen and Dustin Hoffman are geniuses.

The movie I remember crying to as a kid is Fox and the Hound and this is a little embarrasing, but I also cried in Uptown Girls. The only blu-ray, besides Bridge, that even got me close to crying was X-Men: The Last Stand. Man I am pathetic....

Sad, no. Disturbing, in the fact that it actually passes as a movie, yes. Sorry guys, I thought this was poorly written, had horrible acting, and did not lend anything of benifit to youth violence. It was highly inaccurate about the causes of youth violence.

These two guys that bring guns to school and try to kill everyone, shows it from different angles and stuff, pretty short movie but gets its point across very well, and used unknown actors. Basically Columbine but in Orergon.

I would also like to add:

Walk the Line: Another sad movie (not as sad as a lot of others), but is definitely sad at moments.

The Lion King.....first time I cried like a baby during the one scene....always sad with a loss of a parent.....(Im sure everyone has scene it and im not giving away anything)......The Green Mile prolly was the biggest tear jerker for me of all time...I couldnt stop crying for a good 5-10 minutes at the end...my girlfriend at the time was laughing at me but also consoled me to help stop the waterworks....(im not the type of guy who isnt afraid to cry during a movie).....

Forgot about that one. Disney really loves tear-jerkers.
