Default Doctorsteve's crappy HT pix.

It ain't pretty, but it's mine...

Well, ok... the room's a mess, but I love my HT stuff. Still can't bring myself to pull the trigger on the sub yet... (cringes as people throw shoes at him). Oh, and the pix and the room are the crappy part... not the equipment...

See my gallery link for pics...

As far as "Design Elements" I'd say the subwoofer is my favorite part of the room

On a serious note..... you're not lacking in available seating, so it's great for entertaining.

*Sigh* (muttering under breath - "good Lord...")

You are correct sir. And it's all very rearrangeable to give everyone a view. I've got three seats from the Memorial Auditorium here in Buffalo (former home of the Sabres) that fit nicely in front of the couch to give an 'at the game' feel.

For the sub - I was so frikken close to ordering (can't tell you how many times I've been to the eD site), then a credit card company decided to get greedy and jacked up my interest rate ("because of the economy"). So, I'm pouring every cent into paying off the card so the greedy bastards don't get any more of my money.

Jerks.

Most definitely... on my list of 'to do'... Probably won't re-coil the speaker cables until I get some bananas.

...and thanks. I love the crap out of it. This set-up is my first 'toy' after graduating and rejoining the working world.

The setup is good and with a little clean up it definitely has the potential to be great. I'll reserve my rating till you tidy things up .

nice equipment and space, but with some wire managing and clean up yours will look very very nice imo.

donno why u are so down on urself saying all these negative things, everyone here is very friendly. this isnt gamefaqs with 11 year olds posting dumb things!

u have great equipment, probably even better then 70% on here so theres nothing to be down on urself about.

Already called back, they dropped me back to my previous rate but enough's enough. They got greedy, now they must die! I HAD been comfortably been slashing my debt (after buying my setup). The next target was my car, but once Citi pulled THIS crap, they slapped a bull's-eye on their own forehead.

With transfer fees, etc. I'm better off just sitting tight and kicking them to the curb. (and yet, a part of me is itching to give myself a reason to still pull the trigger. Is eight and a half months too early to give yourself a birthday present???)

It's all tongue-in-cheek... I've been here a good while like yourself - for the most part I just meant the room was messy, so it looked crappy... and I don't have wall treatments and bass traps and such...

But I do expect some deserved jabs for certain AWOL equipment... it's all in good fun though. Everybody here has always been very helpful as I selected my TV, receiver, and speakers... if only I could decide on a sub...

Thanks It might sound weird, but I love the fact that there's a central theme of Black, Cherry, and Silver that runs through everything...

What's that? No bass traps?!? Then what the hell is that huge bag thing in the corner of your room?

Uh, yeah, but I guess the bigger thing is that there's no excessive bass to have to trap Hence, no bass traps - also hence, I'm not as cool as folk that have 'em

As far as cable management goes, yes - it's a mess. I set stuff up - then changed my mind (several times). What I'm left with is the big task of undoing most of it and rerunning it.

I actually LIKE the cd's and Blus where they are (for now) - if they were across the room on another wall I'm positive I'd end up with a pile of recently listened to/watched discs under the PS3. Where they are, I'm very inclined to put them back. Besides, because of the chair and beanbag chair I don't have many other easily accessible spaces to put the shelving. The mess is much less noticable with the lights off

Someday though the HT room in my HOUSE will be frikken sweet.

For now, I'm quite happy...

And for the record, I've been trying to clean off the coffee table for months now... just never seems to get completely down to bare wood.

A couple updated pictures...

I got some closed-style banana plugs and re-did all the speaker wires for my 5.0 system... also got a sub cable in anticipation of my a2-300 on order...

At the same time, I figured it would be a good time to tackle my much-heckled cable/wire/cord fiasco behind the TV stand.

I still have some loose ends to tie up (literally) and need to tidy-up some cables/cords to make them less visible as they run to the floor.

There's more work to do, but hope you see an improvement...
