Default New Kid On The Block!!!

hi!i want purchase the latest blue ray unit. i'm not a geek. is the units with the ethernet capabiliies the way to go? this sounds like the easiest. there is no problem regarding costs. but, many times all the bells and whistels aren't really necessary. how about tweeters? any suggestions as to where to buy with good support and knowledge of the various units??? thanks phil

You need a player, and audio system? You have an HDTV already?

If you are comming in with a blank slate, I would talk to the guys over at Tweeters if you have a store in your area. They are a notch above CC and BB and can help out a lot. You will get better service when you come in if you bone up on few terms terms like 120Hz, 1080P/24, 720P, contrast ratio, component video/DVI/HDMI and have a clear idea of how big you want your set to be and what you are willing to spend. Same for Audio.

Well, it's now 2009 and Tweeters has bit the dust along with CC. How about a few HD tips: at least Blu-ray.com is alive and well: A Quick Getting Started Post.
