Anybody else want "Heavy Metal" on Blu? - Blu-ray Forum

I loved this movie since I was 10. Think there will be a chance of it on blu?

When did the movie come out? I thought 1980 but I might be wrong. I also loved the movie heavy traffic

I really want it on Blu Ray also... esp if they give it a high bit rate and have ALL the extras and maybe more than the standard DVD was released with / I have the superbit edition and the reg edition for the extras.

Also I love the films score that was FINALLY released by FSM records at screenarchives.com It was remastered etc and is a great score soundtrack.

I recall reading recently that a new "Heavy Metal" movie was being considered, so that may be why there is a delay in a Blu-ray release. Sony still has a few former "Superbit" titles that have yet to make it to the format.
