Default Black Hawk Down

I don't understand how anyone can enjoy this movie.

I wouldn't have it around even if I could get it for free.

I already saw it on blu-ray and it is one of the least entertaining movies I've ever seen.

I think the limitations of following a true story are what ruined the movie.

I am hoping Behind Enemy Lines will be more fun

Yeah, I don't know... I own this movie and love it. Behind Enemy Lines is very good, too. Hopefully he'll enjoy that one.

I prefered Black Hawk Down to Behind Enemy Lines myself. I watched them both back to back, and then tossed in Tears of the Sun.

I couldn't get into it the first time I ever tried watching it and found it boring but now I really like it alot. It has grown on me over time. Has some great action in it.

+1, I think BHD was the better movie of the two mentioned.....And I think both of them were better than TotS....I probably could call TotS a tie with BEL..

As it was said before though, to each his own, not everyone is oging to like every movie... ...

out of the three
BHD (I think this movie is great! one of the best modern war movies!)
BEL (Pretty good too!)
TotS (Meh. I traded it for Shoot Em Up)

I think it is a pretty good movie..... I can understand someone saying they didn't enjoy a movie, but I never understood how anyone could say......

What's not to understand??? Look how many people liked Transformers, or "Speed Racer" I don't like those movies, but it doesn't surprise me that other people do.

Black Hawk down is based on actualy events. The makers of the film did take some liberties in the story. It is a very important period of US history, especially of the past 15 years. It is not supposed to be fun, it is supposed to make you question the value of human life compared to global politics. It is this event that caused the UN to leave Rwanda at the begining of that genocide.

Behind Enemy Lines is a trashy military movie. It is so red white and blue that it makes Top Gun look realistic. Two US Apache's take out an entire Serbian (not sure if that is correct) militia...right.

Dog Day Afternoon (using example since I watched it a couple times over the last week ) is a good example of a GOOD STORY, that was entertaining, and enjoyable, that was based on a true story, yet some minor details were changed (Sonny's last name, his current marriage situation etc... )

BHD is the same thing..... things were changed, but the fact that it's based on actual events makes it more enjoyable in my opinion

Tell me if the PQ is any good. I am really interested in the blu-ray, but want to know if the extra 'e' adds anything to it.

Not sure anyone said you had to enjoy it. There were plenty who liked it and those who don't. What's so hard to understand about that?

I enjoyed both this and Behind Enemy Lines, so go figure.
