Has anyone ever seen a picture or video of the universe and what a very miniscule part of it we are? Can you honestly think that we are the only life form out there?

One would have to be very naive and closed minded. You have to accept that there is a strong possibility that there could be others in the stars. There will be the day that man takes his place in the stars (colonizing other planets, meeting alien races, etc). The day the human race make extraterrestial contact, the course of humanity will be changed forever.

don't believe in extraterrestrial life intelligent enough to travel here. but the possibility is there. i'm still holding out hope for subterranean martians, hibernating for thousands of years waiting........or giant robots.

The theory goes:

Basically there's another planet who's orbit is different than ours called Nibiru (aka Planet X). It passes by us every 3600 years. It's expected to pass very closely by us on December 21 2012, which will cause great atmospheric problems to earth (hurricanes, earthquakes, tsunamis, etc.) This is why we are experiencing more bad weather, because Planet X is getting closer. The Mayan calendar ends on 12/21/12, and other religions and civilizations are predicting this date as a "new beginning" for earth. The History Channel did a show on this last year.

There's a few different ways it's predicted to happen:

2) Planet X collides with a large comet, sending a large piece of the comet toward earth. We launch every nuke we have at it, and blow it up into numerous smaller pieces, with the biggest piece hitting near Greece. There will be death and destruction, but at a much smaller scale than #1.
3) Same as #2, except it's aliens that destroy the comet, and then they finally reveal themselves to us.

There was a recent show on either History or Discovery about the "Bible Code" that predicted future events. It mentioned a comet in 2012 that was destroyed before impact, but still caused death and destruction to earth.

Just type in "Planet X" or "2012" on Google or Youtube and look at all of the info on it. From scientific stuff, to religious stuff, to far out there alien stuff. I know it's pretty wild, but interesting to read about nonetheless.

Oh, I'm pretty sure we'll live through that, I mean, all this weather can't destroy entire cities. That isn't what you'd call the end of the world. I always thought of the end of the world as the 4 horsemen rising up from a fissure in the earth's crust and cause havoc.
