Don't really see the point in it, the fans are enough that it doesn't overheat, and you can't overclock it (that I know of). There doesn't seem to be any tangible gain other then to say you did it.

hah i love how it says "someone was bound to do it"

to be honest the PS3 is quieter than the other 2 consoles (the wii isn't fan noise but the disc drive!!!) but it is nowhere near as quiet as my PC which is liquid cooled

PS3 is working fine as it is so I'll join other's thoughts by saying that I'll pass liquid cooling. But yeah maybe for my next computer ...

Awesome...

The fan noise is a problem for me watching movies... Enough that I notice.

I dont think I would go this far though, but it is cool to see...

BTW, PS3 making less noise than other consoles does not make it quiet. It just makes the other consoles suck more.

The big reason I am saying this is utterly unnecessary (I can not spell that word for the life of me) is my PS3 has only kicked into high gear twice. I've never heard it during a movie or a game. I've got it very well ventilated, and it's not around any other electronics. Also, I've found Sony's after warranty service to be excellent, and don't want to risk having them deny repairing my PS3 for free in 4-5 years because I did this.

I had a watercooling for the PC.
A storm erupted, causing a power surge, it cracked the water reservoir that spilled water on the graphic and mother card, I had it cleaned and it worked for a time, but the water leaked in the HDD so i lost my data and had to buy a new HDD ...
So watercooling for the PS3??? NEVER!
