Default d-box

whats up guys? girlfriend and i were at tweeter today. they had a theater room equpied with d-box chairs and a projector and that good stuff. we sat in the 2 chairs and the girl put a some scenes on from diff movies like transformers and batman begins. and we were blown away how awesome d-box is. i thought it was just a sub in the chair the rumbles. did not know the chair moved all directions all rumbled all in sync with the movie. pretty much a motion simulator, and we just got back from universal studios in fl and we felt like we were right back there. im doin my research now, i need those chairs haha. any thoughts or comments on d-box?

Expensive and a bit gimmicky, but if you can afford it, why not? It's got a pretty decent selection of titles (either on disc or downloadable motion data from their servers).

Everyone should at least try it once. On certain movies it is awesome. I looked into it but it very expensive. I believe a good setup runs over $10,000 though there is a cheaper option. I would love to have it but it seems an unnecessary luxury addition to a home theater for most people.

wrong tech. D-Box is extremely expensive but programmed to move with the movie. Bass shakers are much cheaper (even affordable) but they use the bass audio to determine vibrations.
