Default Trading Forum: Traders/Sellers should...

...Be asked to list if they ship internationally or not. Or at least the countries in which they deal. There's nothing worse then finally finding someone who has what you want (and vice-versa) and they won't ship to your country.

There aren't just American's here.

Thanks,

Jeff

In a perfect world I would ship internationally, but after being burned on ebay for 10 titles(In 2 separate shipments) that just never arrived I choose to avoid it when possible unless I can ship via a trackable method(Express Mail) or I know the buyer.

No offense to anyone, Its just how Paypal is. Paypal REQUIRES proof of delivery or the buyer wins the claim, automatically! Doesnt matter if you state you arent responsible, etc. This is very good for the buyer but also creates issues like such.

I wish First Class International was trackable or insurable but it isnt.If you choose to buy from me internationally, I perfer another method of payment than PayPal or it has to ship express mail

Only problem is if there are no funds to recover you are still out the money. Thats why I use a CC on higher price items if I am leary of the transaction

I guess I'm lucky when it comes to shipping. I've shipped all over the world and have never had a problem. I produce my own wrist watch and most of them go to Europe.

There's one difference with trading/selling here however...You don't have to deal with Ebay and you don't have to worry about people filing Paypal claims, unless the transaction is done through Ebay.

The number one reason why people say they haven't received their package is because they aren't waiting long enough, and they jump the gun filing a claim with Paypal.

Anyway, I guess I shall not take part in trading here.

If you never had a problem, how do you know the number one reason why people have not received their packages?

I didn't say they haven't received their packages...I said it's from buyers not waiting long enough for them to come in the mail. And believe me, as a seller, it happens to me A LOT when shipping over seas. (Rarely in the USA) But I'm very good at convincing buyers to wait longer and to even go to the post office and check to see if their package is there. (When the carrier doesn't leave a card behind). As always, they either do have the package at the post office or they eventually receive it.

Most buyers who complain about not receiving their packages, and leaving negative and getting their money back from Paypal, actually DO receive them!

Packages never truly get "lost"...They either get stolen, weren't packed properly or they are delayed. Stolen packages are the rarest of the three. Trading movies between Canada and the US is actually very easy and safe.
