Default Well hell . . .

After 2½ years of using my Outlaw 990, it went tits up yesterday. Tries to power on, does the clicking noises, then shuts off. Everything in my system is connected to a Panamax M5300EX (and everything else is working fine). Nothing comes up on the screen and can't get it to stay on. I've checked the connections, tried to reset (still won't work), unplugged and reconnected, the whole nine yards. Called Outlaw and got an RMA to send it back.

Now, once before this did the same thing, but just before I was ready to disconnect everything and send it in, it came back to life and worked fine up until today. I spoke with support last time and we concluded that it was my Monster power center and I replaced it with the Panamax. Guess that wasn't the problem.

Anyhow, to make a long story short, I'm thinking of getting it repaired and moving it to my audio only setup. I'm looking at the Denon AVR-2808CI to take it's place and then use my Outlaw amp to power it. Does this sound like a good idea? Will I be stepping down from the 990 by going to the Denon?
