Talking HD DVD relegated to the side (lines) at High-Def Digest!

It's about time they moved the HD-DVD section on High-Def Digest and placed blu ray as the dominant force that it is.!

It's there, it's just not prominently displayed anymore. Does it matter though?

The title of the page still indicates "HD-DVD News" though

dont know why youre excited, some HD-DVD titles look better than BD Titles

They are just as much 1080p as Bd's

Just a sign of progress I guess. In the past they were a bit biased against BD.

Most of their "Founding Members" bought into HD DVD first, but what else are they going to do at this point?!

Didn't anyone tell you you lost the war a long time ago, so your blind-HD fanaticism isn't helping you anymore?

Why do you guys even care what goes on in the HD-DVD camp? Many of you act like psycho's stalking an ex girlfriend. Those guys have software and hardware and plan on keeping them as long as they can. It's nothing more than a financial decision. They can buy backup players for pennies. Why should they take a financial beating on replacing their software. They have no choice with respect to future software, so they will be adding BD to their shopping list in the near future. But there is no reason to replace what they already have. They deserve a forum the same as we do.

Heh, I thought the same thing when I first saw it but then I saw the link to the far right. It should be interesting to see how long it takes for it to completely disappear (from all the sites or at least archived). I wonder how long it took for more normal transitions, for example, VHS to DVD?

a sign of authoring, not technical capability of the format

It's funny/sad how HD DVD fans still inhabit those forums just as strongly as during the war, in an attempt to stop Blu-ray from gaining popularity. I'm all for reading/participating in a good debate- but ignorant bashing is all that ever takes place there anymore.

Never participated in that forum other than reading the BD reviews. Read some threads after the Warner announcement, and Toshiba's execution of HD DVD, and that was hilarious.

Don't go to hi def digest anymore. Found myself always being bombarded with red negativity since that site was predominantly red. Still is. I could care less, but you really can't speak freely without getting some whiff of the putrid past.
