Hopefully its different to the HD DVD version (that didnt have the directors cut on it) and that it has options to play any of the 2 endings

One of my all time favorites. I hope that it's a better encode than HD DVD version.

Well, I assume Universal will be releasing these and from their track record, they've been doing a good job with re-encoding HD-DVD re-releases to Blu-Ray (The Mummy/The Mummy Returns).

So I'm guessing that they'll re-encode this one as well considering its a big money cow as its a cult classic.

Even if it doesn't get a new encode and its the theatrical version, I'll still pick it up and all the other versions as I love this movie that much!

While the S-Mart ending is certainly more fun, it's not true to the character of Ash. He's a loser and oversleeping is the kind of dumbass thing he'd do.

My ex-girlfriend was an extra in that movie!!!

Woo hoo...I dated the potato sack girl.

Okay...you know then he gets out of the well.

He's all "This...is my boom stick!!!"

They cut to a shot of the crowd and..hmm.....like...the 3rd chick in (it has been a while.) is my ex. She was all dirty and looked like a wench and she is holding a basket of potatos.

If there is any interest, I'll post a pic, but I'm not sure it is worth it.

Just wanted to slack off at work and share my story.

There's nothing wrong with it, I just like having the choice of which version to watch.
