Default Worth it to play warhawk?

I'd been reading about warhawk since the ps3 launch. I was surprised to see that the single player mode was taken out and what you have left is a massive multiplayer online game. I was wondering if it is worth it to play warhawk at all? The only MMO game that I did play was the matrix online, but I quit because the game just seemed too deep and confusing to play. It doesn't look like that with warhawk, but since you don't have a main mode to play, how far can you go before getting bored of the entire game?

First of all you can get bored with any type of game, but warhawk is real fun to play...honest.
and warhawk is far from a mmo game, just try it out im sure you'll like it.
oh and just so you know the learning curve is real steep, its going to take a wile to get used to.

If you do get it and have trouble learning the ropes of the game, don't worry. The next update is coming on the 27th. Plenty of new stuff they're going to add, including an offline training mode.

I think that it does get a bit tiresome after a while, but that's no different than any other kind of game. I played Warhawk all the time after it was first released, and by Christmas was kind of tired of it. I picked up CoD4, and played that pretty much exclusively through the rest of the winter and spring.

Then I stopped playing video games for a couple of months, and within the last couple of weeks picked up playing Warhawk again, and it's as addicting as ever.

The game can be very frustrating, particularly if you care about your stats, and ranking up. If you stop caring about how many times you die, the hectic pace of the game will be a lot more enjoyable.

Its the only game I have probably played at least once or twice a week since launch. Sometimes I play just about every night. I'll move on to other games when they come out but then get back into playing warhawk. Our Blu-ray clan wars are a blast. We just had one last weekend. Grab warhawk and join the clan.

Oh, whats really bad is when you log in and tell yourself you are only going to play for about an hour. Next thing you know its been six hours and the sun is coming up.

I budget my time to two hours maximum. I don't plan to get any new ps3 games right now because I have plenty of stuff to play but this game is just one of many that I have on my list.

Of course they add a training mode after I returned the game because of the difficulty (Way to hard to catch on)

^Well it's only $30 now. WELL worth the price. I've got almost 200 hours on the game (not NEARLY as much as many other people have) and I still absolutely love the game.

Yeah, I've got 290 hours.

But no matter which game I put in my PS3 - this is the game I always come back to. . . . I've been playing Soul Calibur 4 and Uncharted, but I always make time for at least one game of Warhawk.

I really think I am addicted to this game. Is there some kind of support group I can attend?

Same with me. I take little breaks from Warhawk when I buy a new game (ie: MGS4), but I always come back to this one. Can't keep it out of my head haha.

I got on a server of CTF with one guy flying around. So, I decided to go capture his flag. It was one on one capture the flag (very hard, and you have to put a lot more strategy and planning - it's a very different and faster paced game then big map CTF). After 30 minutes of intense gameplay, I beat him 2-0.

He later added me to his friends list and said, "You're pretty good". I looked at his profile - he had over 800 hours! Every single time I turn on my PS3, this guy is playing Warhawk.

Sad thing is, if I had no responsibilities (wife, kids, job, bathing etc.) I would probably do the same thing.

Warhawk is great, but when you first play, i would really consider going to Gamefaqs.com and printing out the strategy guide thing. Gives good explanation of how to make everything work, weapons, vehicles and such. Helped me a bunch cuz the manual it comes with sucks.

It's the best exclusive for PS3 IMO. Most addicting game by far. You will get owned in the beginning but it's not that hard to get a hang of.

Man if you check the leaderboard, that one guy (ICE...something or other) had over 2000 hours. I haven't checked in a long time but he was absolutely nuts. Probably the only leader who didn't get there by point farming or anything like that.

I have 102 hours and I'm a relative noob to some of the people who play this game. It is incredibly addicting and I have not tired of it since I have owned it. I have gotten three new games since Warhawk and I always ended up playing warhawk again by the end of the week.

As a beginner, you can play in unranked servers(X over the cup symbol) so that the those games won't hurt your stats. And as others mentioned, there will be an update later this month that will add offline training scenarios.
