cool this a yet another great Tom Cruise flick..i know people hate on him but i enjoy almost everything with him in it.

What Studio is releasing The Firm? If it is not Sony then I predict 2's and 3's across the board? I liked this film in 93, not so sure today

Looking forward to adding The Firm to my collection. Haven't seen it in years. Now if Paramount can announce John Grisham's The Rainmaker on Blu-ray, then I'll be set.

Super book - decent film, IMO. At some point when its cheap or I can get it used I might buy it. Not on release date though.

I don't plan on buying it, not if it's a Best Buy exclusive. I'm simply getting tired of all of these damned exclusive titles, just to get you in their store. It's sickening and wreaks of under-handedness.

I cannot think of how many times I've walked into Best Buy and get harassed by their employees. "Can I help you?" "What are you looking for?" "Maybe I can help you find what you're looking for."

The whole point of going into a store is looking for it myself. Then, if I need help, I'll ask. This process also helps me in taking my time and browsing through the other titles. I don't need someone holding my hand as I browse through the movie titles. It's like when their employees start acting like this that I feel like my mom is holding my hand, guiding me through the store.

God bless my mom. I don't recall being related to a Best Buy employee because they are all obnoxious so I just develop an attitude when I walk into their store and usually snap at them if they ask me a question. If I need help, I'll ask for it. BLEAGH!!!!

The review is pretty spot-on when it comes to the film. I saw it quite a few times in the theater and on VHS (anyone remember the VHS tape was blue plastic?), and then didn't see it for many years. Caught it last year on TV and forgot how good it was, and how much I loved it. It's got one amazing cast - and to see Wilfred Brimley as a villain when at the time he was more popular for quaker oats commercials and that feel-good series he did with Dedrie Hall. And Gary Busey before he went whack-a-doodle. And Jeanne Tripplehorn when we all thought she was going to be the next "big thing". And Holly Huntner just before The Piano...

I also agree that the ending was a bit weak, as they tried to preserve the "integirty" of Mitch, unlike the book, where

. I like the ending to the book much better, as opposed to the "Tom Cruise movie ending".

Overall, though - love this film. Can't wait to get it on Blu.
