Transformers BLU in Madden - Blu-ray Forum

I was playing Madden 09 today, & they advertise the Transformers Blu-ray almost after every 3-4 plays....This is the PS3 version, can anyone confirm if it's on the 360 version??

Thats pretty cool... I have both PS3 and the 360... but opted for Madden on the 360... got the collector's edition... been playing for a couple hours now and no mention of Transformer on Blu... must be a PS3 deal...

What!? That is crazy! Need some screenshots of this madness. I really want to buy Transformers anyway but if there were ads in the game that would piss me off.

I've played 2 full games so far in Madden and have seen no such advertisement.

I actually just saw it. It pops up alongside the graphic bars on the bottom when they bring stats. It shows a picture of of cover art on the blu-ray and it says. "The conflict begins on blu-ray disc 09.02.08"

what is the big deal if they advertise in games? i like it, it makes the graphics feel more lifelike. I found it kind of cool.

I don't mind it if it's done the same way it's done on TV, but I've never seen an ad for a movie shown on the screen while showing stats during a sports broadcast.

Corporate sponsored starting lineups, play of the game, player of the game, etc are ok, because they seem [sadly] normal. I actually hate the fake Coke bottle in Fenway Park in all baseball games. Can't somebody give Coke a call? And I hate the Red Sox.

Like I said one post ago, I don't really mind it, but I can't help but feel cheated by paying money for a game that's full of ads. Shouldn't the consumers get some of the benefit from the money EA is pulling in from the advertising? I know development costs are on the rise, but aren't game prices? I miss the days of $49 games. Anyhow, I won't even start this debate, because it could go on forever.

Hopefully it never gets out of hand.

Games were $49.99 in 1985. They raised $10 in 20 years. That's not too shabby, if you ask me.

i wonder if they will update it once the movie comes out. it would kinda suck to see transformer on bluray 9-2-08 in january.
