R.I.P. the man formerly known as Chef.

He was doing so good too... His restaurant wasn't, but he had it made as Chef. It still bothers me that every group known to man is made fun of on South Park, but when it affected IH personally, then it suddenly wasn't ok anymore. I still believe IH didn't quit the show because he wanted to, but because others pressured him to.

Actually, I believed he left because of the episode where they made fun of scientolgy (basicly, Hayes was a scientolgist). I'm gonna miss the guy though. I loved Chef back in the day.

Well, if Death is stalking Black Americans of increasing age, I'm going to go with Bill Cosby, by Heart attack, in the Library, with Col. Mustard.

But Since Morgan freeman cheated Death and therefore disrupted Death's design, we may expect the typical 3 pattern to be disrupted as well and the next victim may not fit the pattern. In that case, my money is on Carlos Mencia.

(Couldn't resist a Final Destination reference... still haven't seen 3, but I'd buy the first two on Blu...)

That's what I'm saying (and Parker and Stone said the same thing) That he was perfectly fine cashing his checks when everybody ELSE was getting made fun of, but when it involved Hayes' personal life, he chastised the series for making fun... Again I think he was pressured to quit and would not have done it on his own.

EDIT: I don't mean the guy any disrespect, I mean c'mon -it's Issac Hayes we're talking about... a mad cool cat. But I still feel his departure from SP was Punk, and it was a shame to see such a Bad Mutha-(*shutchomouth!*) go out like a punk beyatch.

Interesting. I was thinking Morgan Freeman would be next. I would cry if that was the case. He is an EXCELLENT actor.

Not sure who would be next? Bill Cosby is a good guess though.

Yes, yes - of course. My Mom had the soundtrack on vinyl and all... but you're only as good as your last performance as they say... so although Alanis Morissette used to be on "You can't do that on television", Elisha Cuthbert used to be on "Popular Mechanics for kids", and George Bush used to own the Rangers (or Astros, or "Those baseball guys I bought" - whatever), I'm guessing is a far, far greater body of work for Issac entwined in the SP franchise than "the guy that wrote the Shaft soundtrack" (which unfortunately is the biggest thing he'll be remembered for music wise... well, that and "Chocolate Salty Balls")
