Default DIGITAL COPYS..What do you think about them

I have gotten a lot of Blu Rays and alot more of the newer ones have "Digital Copy". I downloaded the copy it came with on my HP-Blu ray laptop and it looks alright..If your spending $25 to $35 bucks for a Blu ray then i think this is great for the $..What do you think and what films would you want to have a Digital Copy of?!

I have a lot of digital copies and never used any of them! No reason to actually! I could care less if they came with them or not!

Never use them. If I really need a digital copy it's actually easier to hit up a .t.or.r.r.e.n.t. site and snag a copy

I wish that the powers that be get together and set some Gee Darn STANDARDS! Like normalized playability so digital copies can be played on any portable device (ie. PSP, IPOD, Zune, IPhone, Laptop etc.).

Too many companies are scattershooting and their digital copies sometimes work on ipods, while others dont or can only be played with media player on a laptop... just stupid...

Normalize the standards so everyone is happy and can purchase their blu-movie and toss a sub par SD digital copy onto whatever portable device they want for viewing on the go.

Just my 2cents.

As long as the trend continues, and they don't cost any more, I think they are great. I put them on my daughters IPOD. Easier than ripping a DVD and converting, and I don't need the DVD to do it, just the Blu-Ray.

I am too passionate about watching movies to degrade myself to watching it on a poxy 2" screen. I'd rather do what the guy said above, torrent the stuff. DC's are just the way of the industry saying they are clever, but they are not.

If you own an iPod, it's great. It's easy to rip a DVD to iPod format, but you can't do that with a Blu-Ray. I think every movie, DVD and BD should come with a digital copy, but only if they work with the iPod. Otherwise, it's not necessary.

posted this in another thread too...but for me they're 50/50. When they're ipod compatible they rule 'cause I can bring them to work etc. But I have 2 so far, including the new Dark City I just got, that are WORTHLESS!!!

Not only are they incompatible w/my ipod, but of course I'm a Mac user too- so they completely cut me out of even being worth a damn!

As long as I'm not paying more for the copy I couldn't care less, but I wish they all use Lionsgate system, which is a small sticker in the outside box. I hope they soon drop the trend of making it part of the artwork.

that but you want to know what I don't like about them?

1. The banner ruins the cover art.
2. Movies are getting marketed as "two disk special edition" but that stupid disk is just a DC.
3. Then after the movie is downloaded I have to keep it in the case because the disks are numbered! It's like having a useless disk! I could get rid of it but in five years i'll flip out and wonder what happened to my second disk!

I've never used the digital copy myself but I like that the option is there. It is obviously added value for someone.

It is a waste of raw materials to produce and I have never used one esp if I buy a BLU ray disc with it included - Why do I want to watch a sub par presentation when i can watch it in HD and futhermore have you guys seen to what FOX does to their blu ray Art work with the Digital Copy releases UGH look at Happening ! I am glad I hated that film cause because of the awful top bar proclaiming its digital copy I WOULD NEVER buy it. UGLY same with that Kutcher Vegas movie. they just need to place a sticker on the plastic wrap of the Blu Ray stating it will contain one.

I will NEVER use a digital copy I mainly trash mine.
