PS3 is freezing up - Blu-ray Forum

I have had a PS3 for a year. I watch Blu Ray's, DVD's, and play games almost everyday. When I play something now, it will freeze mid game or in the movie. I have to re start the PS3, but it does it again. Is there something I can do, or is it time to get a new one?

when did this start happening? what firmware are you running? have you updated it to 2.42... people have been complaining about issues since 2.40. the drive may need replacement. check out the official playstation forums.
