The upcoming issue of Famitsu Playstation 3 is all about DKS3713, and focuses on Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts. There are thirty eight glorious pages of information and screens, the majority of which focus on Final Fantasy XIII, Versus XIII, and Agito XIII! The scans are not out yet, but keep checking in, we'll have them first! Check out the incoming information below, including the juicy info the Final Fantasy XIII demo will be more then an hour long!

Final Fantasy XIII (PS3/Xbox 360):

-The Final Fantasy XIII demo disc included with Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Complete will be on a Playstation 3 Disc, not on a standard Blu-Ray movie disc. (Note: This means the demo will likely not be region locked, so great for importers!)
-There are three pages of Final Fantasy XIII screens and information, around twenty screens, all believed to be in real time!
-The Final Fantasy XIII Demo will be longer then Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Complete. The movie is over a hour and a half long, this demo must be huge!
-The Final Fantasy XIII demo will be from the opening part of the game. (Fantastic!)
-Mr. 33CM's real name is based off of weather as well.
-Pigtails Girl has been through some tough times.
-According to Toriyama, every new scene in the trailer is in real time.

Final Fantasy Versus XIII (PS3):

-There are four pages pertaining to Versus XIII. There are around ten screens in real time.
-The people living in the world of Versus XIII worship a Shinigami (Gods of Death. Shinigami might be familiar to those that watch the Death Note Anime Series.)
-The Shinigami is designed by veteran series artist Yoshitaka Amano.
-The cars and clothing seen in the trailers so far will probably change in design by the time the game is complete.
-The team's morale is really high! (Yay!)

Final Fantasy Agito XIII (PSP):

-The game was moved to the Playstation Portable because they could no longer wait for Mobile Phones to get more advanced. (Good for us!)
-The battles will be heavy in action but still have some turn based elements to them. The game will use an advanced version of Crisis Core's ATB system. (If your a long term reader of the site, you'll know we all loved Crisis Core!)
-While Crisis Core only contained one player (Zack), there will be multiple characters in the party for this title! (Score!)
-Right now the title supports Infrastructure Multiplayer for up to three players.
-Summons will be a part of the character growth system. Players will be able to control summons after summoning them!
-A new screen shot with Odin is shown.
-The game will support both Ad-Hoc and Infrastructure. (This means there will be online multiplayer of some kind! This is the perfect time to join the community and get to know other fans before playing the game together!)

just as i thought the FF13 demo isn't downloadable wich means 360 fans will have to buy ps3 if they want to play the demo , another reason shows why 360 version will flob

North American release date for the FF:Advent children Blu Ray?

There are some heavy hitters graphically coming up for the PS3. Next couple years are going to be great!

According to the upcoming DKS3713 issue of Famitsu magazine, the PlayStation 3 exclusive Final Fantasy XIII demo will clock in at a longer running time than the CGI film, Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Complete.

Currently the original Advent Children film clocks in at a runtime of 101mins; however, the Blu-ray version of the movie will feature scenes that were either cut completely or not finished in time for the initial release, resulting in a significantly longer runtime.

Here is a list of other tidbits revealed from the three-page spread in Famitsu:

-The Final Fantasy XIII demo will be based from the opening section of the game.
-The demo will come on a separate disc rather than on the Advent Children Blu-ray.
- Mr. 33CM's real name is based off of weather as well.
- One of the female characters, refered to as 'Pigtails Girl', has been through some tough times.

Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Complete is scheduled for release in March 2009.

Pre-ordering final fantasy XIII versus when available and I will pass on the other due to multiplatform status (may effect overall quality of the graphics). Where as versus will stay "true" to original vision since it is still exclusive.

Just can't wait to see the graphics on the PS3 and character designs. Heck, the PS4 will be out before FFXIII sees a release.

I dont think XIII will suffer any graphical quality. SE wont develop the 360 version until AFTER the PS3 is complete. They are not slowing that down and are set on releasing it to Japan next year with no forseeable delays. Only when the PS3 version is done, will they port it to the 360, while they translate the text and do the voiceovers for NA. If anything the 360's quality will be compromised

5.1 surround at maximum wich like 640kbps aac/mp3

it should be noted thats all speculation. they could very easily screw us ps3 owners and just give the ps3 version a bit more polish

its hard for me to get excited for this game right now tho. 2010? meh

yup just like XII (on ps2)was released around the time the ps3 was launched, square is good for doing things like that. I might try and imported it (even though I do not speak japanese )

1. I dont think square will screw there japanese fan base, as I can gaurantee the PS3 system will sell 650k+ in japan the month this game comes out so I'm sure they dont want to make all their old fans think that they watered it down for "an inferior american machine."
2. As a long time FF fan, I'm used to delays. They could say 2011 and I'd be pumped still, cuz the game will rule. now if they say 2011, and it turns out is because of slow 360 development, i'll be pissed
