so far they have not released anything on blu-ray. didn't hear anything about a possible blu-ray release in the future

They've released two Blu-rays so far, both by Henri Storck: one of his 'Ostend films' and another of Misčre au Borinage. Don't think anything else is in the works yet.

Harry Kümel rejected the best version of the movie (1971), he preferred the inferior Dutch version which he made later and omits most of the beautiful soundtrack from Georges Delerue and is no longer a horror-film. The Cannes version was the best version, without doubt. I hope to see this one on Blu-ray in the future.

I have the double DVD, which looks really good, but obviously, this a movie made for BD, or since daughters has been released in 4k, malpertuis a superior film, should have the same treatment
never understood why malpertuis remains so obscure in a world where every jess franco trash has its supporters and even most of them have been released in BD, while this masterpiece remains untalked. Only 7 posts, now 8 , and only 1 thread about it And this is a movie with orson welles weird. almost as weird as the movie itself |
