Default Why are blu-rays so cheap on this site?

I buy my blu-rays at retail stores but this site(or i guess amazon) sells them at such a discount is there some kind of catch that i need to know about like are they used or something. They are new right?

This site bluray.com.For example i wanted to buy heroes season 2 and the regular retail price is around $60 and on here its 40. Then when i click on add to cart it brings me to amazon.com to purchase it.So i wanted know if there is anything i should know before making a purchase on here

Amazon Blu-rays have links on this site. So what you are seeing is the Amazon price...and then when you follow that link it takes you to Amazon.com.

links to amazon, help support blu-ray.com site. Amazon has great prices on alot of things. there's no catch. If your buying locally ofcourse your going to pay close to MSRP. If you like this site continue purchasing your BD's thru the links here. It will help keep this site running.

other sites to check out too are

familyvideo.com/
J&R.com
deepdiscount.com, slow shipping though.

Don't forget that you can also buy used from other vendors through Amazon...

Let me put in another good word for Family Video. They beat Amazon's prices 90% of the time and their shipping is cheap, fast and you don't have to shell out a lot of green for the privilege. They should start advertising here and compete with Amazon for the Blu-ray.com customer. It's pretty gracious of the site to allow members to refer each other to online retailers who do not support the site.

New as can be , you do have the option to buy used thru the Amazon market place. Good/Bad experiences thru that option though. keep that in mind.

As for pre-orders, You won't get charged until the item ships. So you can cancel anytime.

He's right. If you make a purchase on Amazon.com through the links provided on Blu-ray.com, Blu-ray.com gets a very small percentage of the sale. But, everything on Amazon.com is new product unless you are buying it from a re-seller... but Blu-ray.com would never link to an Amazon.com re-seller anyways, so you are safe using the Blu-ray.com links.

I always try to use the links from here when ordering from Amazon. It does not cost me any extra money, and it supports this forum. I buy a lot of Blu-rays, so I have done my good.

I didn't realize the site was getting a small kickback, I typically don;t use the links here to buy from amazon but now I'm gonna make a habbit of it. Plus that is really cool of the site to let use talk about other retailers who don't support it.

Pre-ordering from Amazon is great, espcially catalog titles, you can put in your pre-order then two days after the release, get an email saying you won't get your movie for two months because they don't have enough supply to meet all their pre-orders.

Amazon, J&R (when they have a sale), and deepdiscount (never head a problem with them) are all great.
