Anyone seen Reign of Fire? - Blu-ray Forum

Going on shopping spree today. Thinking on Reign of Fire?, Galapagos,The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, Pathfinder, maybe Into the Blue! Reign was real dark on dvd, how is it on Blu?

Reign of Fire is a dark movie to begin with, but the Blu version of it is simply incredible. If you enjoy the movie I highly recommend getting it.

I liked it so much I double dipped. Not enough of the dragons but a good action film to spend a couple of hours with. Especially with a 'loud' sound system

Reign of Fire is the only one I can recommend out of all the ones you are looking at. LXG is okay but horrendously stupid most of the time. Pathfinder and Into the Blue I think you could spend your money better elsewhere for sure. They are both just awful IMO.

Jessica Alba swimming enough said! Reign of Fire was really good great soundtrack and LXG well you can try the new firmware update with it DTS-HD.

Reign of Fire, very good flick, it takes itself very seriously (no campiness) but impressed me overall.

I have Reign of Fire and I think it looks great I also think its a pretty good action flick. Like others I think more dragons would have been great but maybe leaving us wanting more is what makes the movie work.

As far as the others you mentioned they are all more rentals for me than must buys

Reign of fire isn't a bad movie, liked it better than Pathfinder. However, I do enjoy the League, but I just have the standard dvd of it. Avoid pathfinder.

I, too, would avoid Pathfinder except as a rental...quite the mediocre movie, IMHO....

Right...I saw it on HD cable, it was worth viewing once but I'd really never watch it again, unless it was the only other thing on cable.

Yes, I have seen it and i liked it very much, i also own this on bd and watched it last week. Christian Bale did GREAT in this movie. When the movie came out at the theater, i did not know Bale, until his success went way up. Christian Bale

Same here, must be the first time I've seen Bale in a movie. Anyways, I really liked Reign of Fire.

Reign of Fire rocks! PCM soundtrack. I had to wait till the Walmart bogo came back around to buy. I'd pass on LXG it looks good and all but lame story. I traded my copy off for Sunshine... sucker.

I havent seen this on Blu-Ray I saw it on the other format that was imported from Japan. It looked great, it had old CGI but still looked wonderful. I bet the Blu-Ray verison is even better with pretty much same transfer and plus the added PCM 5.1 Track.

BTW You never seen the Speilbergs Empire of the Sun? Christan Bale was the main character and was like 11 in the film.

Really, i have seen it before and i didnt know bale was in it.. I GOT TO RENT, christian bale is my favorite actor and i didnt notice his role in Empire of sun.
What character was he in it? the pow boy who loved airplane?
