is the new 80gb ps3 avalible now? because that is the only ps3 listed under the ps3 hardware section on bestbuy.com and it says its not avalible for store pickup.

There will be a 160gb special edition in October or November if I remember correctly. Search the threads this was talked about yesterday.

so there are no ps3s avalibe right now? because the new 80gb is all they have listed. also i went to my local BB last night and they had no ps3s at all.

i work at circuit city and we have not had any ps3 systems come in since end of june. we were told by the sony rep that the new 80gb ps3 would be coming out around mid september so im assuming they stopped the production of the 40 and will only have the 80 and the mgs 80gb beginning in september.

My local BB here in Arizona already has the new 80GB for $399 but alas it has no BC so I'm glad I bought a second PS3 while the MGS4 bundle was still available.

the 80 gb ps3 with the ds3 controller is at stores now for 399.99...saw it today at super target.
so for the people that just purchased the 40 gb for that price...it sucks

But if you can try to get the mgs4 bundle with the ds3 controller it is backward compatible...and the new 80 gb is not.

Just some food for thought.
