Default Do people think we'll be getting Spiderman 1 and 2 in May?

What with set for a May release and Sony asking about what kind of sound options they want us to have on the disks, does a May release seem imminent?

I really hope so as we need all the big blockbusters we can get.

I've heard rumors to that effect, especially since part 3 hits theaters in that first week of May.

It sure would be a nice marketing move, IMO.

thats a good idea. never thought of that.

hopefully that means we get Spidey in late April or early may, and then the Harry Potter movies right before that movie hits (June? July?).

any other moive sequels hitting this summer we havent gotten BRD of yet?

I would be surprised if Sony held both Spidey titles back. Give us 1&2 now and we'll get #3 in the fall.

Being that they're just asking about audio options now they haven't mastered the disks yet. Wouldn't it take at least until May to get them done?

I could've sworn they announced both Spidey 1 & 2 at CES. They just didn't give the release date.

Deci would probably know. Speaking of which, where's Deci been?

I had posed this question, albeit a bit differently, to paidgeek. He said it would take 4+ weeks or so to make the title. Then you would tack on time to replicate the discs, create and manufacture the packaging, etc.

Thus, assuming that they have elements that are ready to enter production, it seemed completely within the realm of possibility to have these by late April or early May as was rumored over at AVS.

I'm hoping for sooner rather than later, as I think these are key titles for Sony in this format war. I love these movies, and look forward to the best presentation possible.

I think you will see them when the movie comes out because the movies will be fresh inside everones head and they will want to watch the first two to put the whole series together

oh i meant for pirates. Spidey i'm sure will be more than just 3.
but even pirates, if something is making that much money for them they will always consider a 4th, 5th, etc...of course that wont stop them from selling a trilogy box set anyway.

I think spidey was originally going to be just 3 but it looks like their might be more because of the characters that so up in this one

I'm sure paidgeek is not going to scuttle SPE's plans for Spidey on BD by revealing it here. All in due time.

The 3rd Spidey though looks like it is going to be packed. Three seperate villains and one Spidey. I just hope it's long enough to fully explore the rammifications of all three, PLUS MJ.

The same goes with Fantastic Four.

S3 is less than 3 months away now and still no word. That seems pretty bizarre if you ask me.

I'm thinking at least Spiderman 2 will be out in time for 3's theatrical debut... Sony may be holding this one close to their chest to see what the other guy may do. Also, Sony normally announces catalog titles closer to their release dates than day and dates.

Both are gotta have titles. Been a Spidey fan for 40 years. Started my comic collection at Amazing Spiderman 39. There are so many excellent villians Spidey can go to 10 flicks and still not repeat any. Goblin is back so ,. so much for the repeat statement

I meant most likely it'll be more than 3, since so far it's doing real good.
