Is it worth keeping my Sony BDPS300 - Blu-ray Forum

hi i recenlty got a new HD TV and with it i got a free sony BDPS300
I already have a PS3 so is it worth keeping the stand alone player or just use the PS3

if the PS3 is better then its off to Ebay with the freebie.

Keep the PS3. Sell the BDPS-300.

How many HDTV's do you have, more than one then keep it. If only one sell the S300, personally Id sell the s300 for a 350 next month ($299).

Keep it for movies. Saves wear and tear on the PS3.

Are you planning on getting another HDTV soon if you are I would keep it. If you are getting another HDTV soon I say sell it.

Well still keep the player. You got it for free. If I had a spare BD player, I would use it only for DVDs since the S300 does a good job up scaling 480/60i to 1080/60i. That way it'll keep your new BD player from wearing out as fast. I don't know how many DVDs you got but I still have hundreds even though I replaced many with the BD releases. I still watch just as many DVD movies as I do BDs.
